Besides outstanding transparency, lenticular stock (only about 200 microns thickness) opens up a whole panorama of new applications. Accomplishments: Diamond has developed other 3D display products that have proven to be wildly successful in the hair care market. Unlike previous 3D "glorifiers", however, this point-of-purchase display is intended to actually hold and sell the product.
Diamond designed a unique header with a secondary rear panel that is glued to the front panel, creating a striking 3D appearance. The panel is further enhanced by die cutting around the photograph of the models, adding to the illusory effect. The economical structure is converted as a glued, single piece that pops up, similar to children's books.
The header is taped to an outer base that utilizes multiple die cuts to hold various products including shampoo, conditioner, nourishing shine cream and reflective shine spray. Another die cut on the front panel perfectly encloses the circular-shaped brochures.
The beautiful graphics are achieved using four color process inks, along with one special color, UV gloss coating and a new Iriodin® coating. The Iriodin® coating technology utilizes non-uniform pearl lustre particles to create unparalleled shimmer effects. The header is further distinguished by holographic rainbow foil stamping, highlighting the fact that this is a new product launch.
The innovative shape and beautifully printed graphics combine to form a captivating product display. The result is a promotional display that delivers impact at hair salons, and truly captures the essence of these exciting new products.

This packaging specialist prints solid blue color using Iriodin® pigments, followed by special embossing to create a wave-like leather structure. This yields a unique visual and tactile effect: the dark-blue package reminds consumers of the sea, and they can also feel the "ocean waves" by running their fingers over the folding carton. The packages thus effectively convey the feeling, scent and effort of the products while communicating the key advertising message "revitalizing freshness".

The new carton tube packaging promises to solve this. According to the motto an “own display for every tube” these tube folding cartons were developed by American packaging developers for the new product series “Life” by Schwarzkopf & Henkel and adapted for the German market by the Rob. Leunis & Chapman Group (RLC). The contour of the carton follows the shape of the tube like a second skin. The tube is attached at the cut-out at the front. The four-cornered standing surface enables a striking presentation on the shelf with an unusual “face” and thus more than compensates for the disadvantage of the tube. The six color printing ensures a uniform brand image.

Wash gel, creme and application brush from the T-Zone facial care series fit harmoniously and strikingly into the packaging concept.

When implementing the new artwork, emphasis was placed on integration in the product family together with stressing the product’s innovative aspect through the packaging design. The razor packaging is made from PET and has a blister hood in an extravagant dish shape. The blade packaging picks up on the design and contours. The combination of different types of material and finishes reflects the brand’s innovative nature at the point-of-sale and helps reach the customer on an emotional level. The crossover packaging concept mixes several different materials: metal + lacquer + PET! Metallic coated cartons, PET, UV coating, hot foil embossing, relief and blind embossing are all used.

Accomplishments: Curad is the American equivalent to Germany's Hansaplast, one of the best known plaster (bandage) brands in the country. Both brands are made by Beiersdorf. The Rob. Leunis & Chapman Group (RLC group ) was contracted by the international giant to supply packaging solutions for two new products from the Curad range, "Curad silver" and "Curad silver gel", reflecting the premium character and high quality of the novel plasters.
The folding carton catches the eye at the point-of-sale thanks to its silver and silver green shining front panel. The silver effect on the front is attained by hot foil embossing, followed by six color printing and inline UV varnishing. The Originality Seal and ease of use of the packaging are achieved with an ingenious closure system. After breaking the perforation upon opening the plasters for the first time, the plaster package can still be safely closed, thus protecting the contents.
The folding cartons are supplied by RLC to Beiersdorf in Hamburg, Germany and in Spain from where they are filled and subsequently shipped to America.

Accomplishments: In East Germany Delitzscher was synonymous with the finest chocolates. The confectionery manufacturer Van Netten of Dortmund, Germany is now bringing the traditional brand from Saxony back to life.
The Rob. Leunis & Chapman Group has been chosen as the partner for implementing the relaunch of the Delitzscher range of chocolates. Working closely with the client, the group is responsible for developing the packaging for the complete line of Delitzscher alcohol-filled chocolates, including "Brandy Beans" (150 g and 400 g), "Brandy Cherries" (300 g and 400 g), and "Irish Cream" (200 g).
The design of the highly finished folding cartons reflects the deluxe nature of the sweet delicacies. Six color offset printing is used for the packaging which is subsequently finished with UV varnish. The Delitzscher logo and the brand trademark, an image of the Delitzsch baroque palace, as well as the respective product names, are emphasized with hot foil embossing. Additionally, the chocolate packaging is further enhanced by the blind embossed Delitzscher logo.

Dental Cosmetics, a leading producer located in Dresden, Germany, contacted the Rob. Leunis & Chapman Group (RLC Group) to develop the packaging for this innovative product.
A compact, three-part packaging solution was jointly created which is also convincing from a marketing viewpoint: by positioning the bottle with the bleaching gel in a view window a strong impact at the point-of-sale is achieved.
The folding carton is finished with five color UV printing and UV varnish. The blind embossing (shiny silver) of the text "Easy to use" and "Safe for gums" adds a classy touch to the packaging.
A practical design detail for the consumer, the packaging has a separate inner compartment for the packaging insert, where it can easily be reinserted after use.

Internet orders from retailers on Dolphin Innovations´ home page are directed straight to Centerpack. Here the order is fully processed, from the just-in-time delivery (in just the right quantity) to invoicing. A great deal of coordination effort is avoided, as are production-related assembly, expensive storage, managing residual items and a huge amount of administrative work.

Diamond Packaging utilized frequency modulated (FM) screening to deliver near photographic fidelity from an offset printing process. FM screening is unique in that it varies the number of dots used, as opposed to amplitude modulated (AM) screening, which varies the size of the dot. The 20 micron FM dot eliminated all issues related to screen angles, resulting in smoother vignettes and softer color-to-color transitions not possible with traditional four-color process printing.
The graphics were further complemented by UV inks and in-line UV gloss coating.

Accomplishments: Diamond developed a unique simplex tray lid that functionally and stylistically surpasses previous designs. The simplex tray lid incorporates an intricate snowflake die cut that instantly conveys the spirit of the holiday season. A stippled embossing pattern applied to the .018 paperboard, along with dark blue hot foil stamping, adds to this extraordinary presentation.
Utilizing a paperboard lid allows for more design flexibility, not possible with a standard set up box lid. For instance, the intricate die cut pattern and the depth of the embossing pattern can only be achieved through the use of paperboard. In addition, the lid was designed with smaller fold-over (perforated) panels, allowing the insert card to sit 1/8" below the lid, creating a 'shadow' effect.
The combination of a simplex tray lid and set up box base provides unlimited graphic possibilities, while staying within the parameters of the customary filling and shipping procedures. Furthermore, the package maintains the exact same footprint as their other designs, simplifying exhibition in Godiva display cases, racks and end caps.

Matrix launched the holiday gift sets for six of their popular lines (Biolage, Amplify, Sleek.look, Logics®, Trix, and Curl.life) in distinctive packaging with brand-identified colors. The creative cartons deliver impact at salons, and help reinforce a hip, stylish image for the company.
Diamond utilized special graphic techniques to elevate a standard tuck carton to an unprecedented level.
All cartons feature a .022 SBS foilboard complemented by stunning holographic foil stamping and embossing. The holographic foil was chosen for its striking visual impact and its evocation of snowflakes, perfect for the holiday season.
Special color inks and matte UV coating further enhance the graphics. Two hits of white help distinguish the text against the dazzling backgrounds. A total of nine different colors and 14 different graphic versions were produced for the U.S. and Canadian markets (product mix being the main difference).

Accomplishments: The carton packaging for the sweetener dispenser of the French market leader Canderel is now being produced by the rob. leunis & chapman group. The internationally active GPA member was able to outdo the competition in the tender process of the manufacturer Merisant in all process steps - from prepress to logistics.
The Canderel packaging consists of a box, insert and lid. Erected on machines at the customer's location, the two single-piece cut-outs feature a combination of groove, perforation and inner compartments, forming a sturdy packaging for the sweetener product.
Coordinating the delicate design with a high print run and cost effective printing requires absolute accuracy and quality in the manufacturing process. The penetration of the French market is a defining step in the development of the rlc group as a preferred partner for general packaging in the international market.

L'Oreal USA / Matrix Essentials' original concept was a computer generated graphical representation of the display. Diamond's task was to design an economical structure without using an expensive plastic thermoform for the curved bottom deck.
Diamond designed a unique counter display utilizing a foam insert for the curved base. The dynamic shape of the base instantly captures the consumer's attention and communicates the soft-inspired formulations of the new Biolage product line. Ultralight caliper SBS paperboard was used to wrap the fascia, due to its ability to take the curve of the foam without creasing. The same gauge paperboard was also used as a die cut cover for the top of the deck. The header card was folded over for rigidity, but purposely not glued, allowing it to flex to fit the foam insert comfortably.

The outer sleeve was produced on an imported Colorplan paperboard, chosen for its beautiful finish as well as its excellent folding and scoring characteristics. The glued sleeve was designed with open and sealed ends which allowed the attractive outer tray to partially extrude, thereby enhancing shelf appeal and maximizing brand identity. The outer sleeve also featured a multitude of graphic enhancements such as multi-color printing (including metallic), UV satin coating, embossing, debossing, and hot foil stamping.
The outer tray and cigar tubes also featured metallic inks and embossing, but were converted from a .014 SBS paperboard. The structural design of the cigar tubes and inner cell allowed them to open and close in a telescoping fashion.
After converting, all of the components were sent to Diamond Contract Manufacturing (DCM) for fulfillment. Adhering to the narrow timeline of the project, DCM produced a total of nearly 55,000 cartons in just 5 days!

Innovative structural designs allowed the booklet to retain all of the individual product samples in one compact package while maintaining a minimal footprint on the retail shelf.
Diamond Contract Manufacturing (DCM) provided all of the fulfillment, including automatically applying glue to four panels of the insert to hold the packette samples; gluing the accordion to the inside of the booklets; inserting a bottle, CD and coupon into the booklets; packing the booklets into the display or bulk case; and sequentially bar code labeling each display or bulk case. Adhering to the narrow timeline of the project, DCM produced a total of nearly 200,000 booklets in just 16 days!
