The Power to Protect - Three Steps to Protection Against Counterfeiting

Hannover, Germany – April 12, 2005 - The Rob. Leunis & Chapman Group will be presenting anti-counterfeiting solutions and applications at the Interpack Packaging Fair 2005 in Duesseldorf, Germany.

In the battle against product and brand piracy the Rob. Leunis & Chapman Group (RLC Group) has formed a task force team called “Product and Brand Protection” that has developed a new three-phase customer counseling concept, and intensified cooperation with leading suppliers of security technology and organizations such as “Association German Economy Against Product and Brand Piracy” - the German equivalent of Scotland Yard in the UK.

The action team was created last year as a consequence of a so-called “Focus Conference 2003” and operates under the slogan “The Power to Protect”.

The three stage counselling concept is based on findings from in-depht talks with industries affected by counterfeiting.

The first phase comprises conveying general information and defining the problem. In the second phase, individual counselling interviews are conducted, a confidentiality agreement is signed, a risk anlaysis is carried out, and a joint solution is developed.

The communication is backed up by a technical consulting folder with security features, including reading and decoding units.

In phase three, in which the supplier of selected security features is involved, the individual solution is determined and implemented jointly under the strictest confidentiality.

More details can be found in the Copaco brochure.
