Rochester, NY – August 31, 2004 - The Global Packaging Alliance (GPA) announced that they have added a new partner in Latin America by signing an agreement with Cartmont Packaging, located in Tlalnepantla, Mexico. Cartmont Packaging is one of the leading folding carton manufacturers in Mexico, producing high-end packaging for the pharmaceutical, consumer electronics and food and beverage industries. GPA members visited several potential partners in Mexico to assess which best fit the GPA’s profile in the areas of quality, technical capabilities and markets served, with the goal of extending the alliance’s global reach and service to its customers. Although well represented internationally, the alliance identified a need to more directly serve the Latin American market. The addition of Cartmont represents a major step forward in realizing this initiative. Cartmont’s capabilities include complete in-house creative and graphic design, large format offset printing with inline UV coating, die cutting, windowing, gluing and contract packaging services.
