Rochester, NY – June 29, 2004 - Diamond Packaging, Hazen Paper Company, MeadWestvaco and Flutes, LLC have teamed up to donate 60,000 cartons for the Look Good…Feel Better® program, co-sponsored by the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CTFA), American Cancer Society (ACS) and the National Cosmetology Association (NCA). The program is designed to help women cancer patients regain their self-esteem by overcoming the appearance-related side effects of chemotherapy. The three sponsoring partners work together to provide patient education, free program materials and cosmetic products, with expert advice on using those products.
Since its introduction in 1997, the Look Good…Feel Better® cosmetic kit box has become one of the program’s most recognizable symbols. The custom-designed box features colorful artwork, partner logos and a convenient carrying handle. Filled with products donated by leading companies in the cosmetics industry, the complimentary kit is a memorable gift for thousands of women who participate in the group sessions each year.
The packaging team created a sturdy, attractive carton constructed of SBS board laminated to e-flute corrugated board. MeadWestvaco donated the SBS board, which was sent to Hazen Paper, who applied a pearlescent coating to the material. Diamond Packaging then printed the SBS board prior to sending it to Flutes, LLC for lamination. Diamond performed the final operations, including folding and gluing the cartons, before delivering them to the CTFA warehouse in Atlanta, GA.

Look Good...Feel Better® is a free, national public service program created from the concept that if a woman with cancer can be helped to look good, her improved self-esteem will help her approach her disease and treatment with greater confidence. Open to all women actively undergoing treatment for cancer, the program serves approximately 45,000 women each year. Since the program began in 1989, over 370,000 women have participated in LGFB programs.
